Fees
Why should you pay for my services? Because you need another set of eyes to look for hidden mistakes. Because you need more time to focus on your real job. Because you never liked grammar. Because I'm a better writer than you.
Contact me with your writing/rewriting/editing needs, and we can discuss terms. Don't ask me to work on spec, and don't offer me the opportunity for work like crazy, if I will only lower my fees. I rarely jump at the chance to do more work for less money.
Rates vary, depending on content, amount of research needed, rights purchased, etc. I'm willing to take options off the table in order to reduce cost.
If you need only a small job done well, fast and cheap, and don't want to bother with contract negotiation, check out my offerings on Fiverr. [What's the difference?]

What's the difference between a Fiverr and a regular job?
Time
I have a gift for words. I'm educated in writing styles, grammar, and punctuation. And I type like the wind. I can write a good quality piece in short order.
Like all good writers, however, after I complete a job, I set it aside to cool. While I sleep and play, the content mulls around in my brain, suggesting better ways to express itself. I make changes, set it aside again, and the process repeats. In time, I review the work with fresh sight, fixing any overlooked mistakes.
Usually, taking extra time turns adequate copy into a more interesting, more cohesive piece, without errors. Sometimes it doesn't make that much difference, because the piece was written well in the first place. Once in a while, a mistake slips through no matter how much time I take.
With Fiverr, the work is fast and cheap. I deliver professional quality work, but it's first-draft professional, the product of that first go-round, without the cooling-off period and rewrites. It's good; but it's not the best it can be.
Sources
Because I can't spend too much time on each piece, I use major, predictable and often-quoted sources for Fiverr. I still verify facts.
When you pay for time, however, I slow down, research for fresh information, and gather the most interesting and relevant quotes that I can.
Contract
Fiverr terms are spelled out in the gig--take it or leave it. No negotiations. I do the work, you own the rights.
Availability
When I get busy, I suspend my Fiverr account, and you will not be able to order until I reopen it.
